I’ve spent the better part of my life in school so this past Labour Day weekend was a little different. Instead of getting ready to fly back to Windsor, we spent the weekend being tourists in a city that we’ll likely be calling home for the next few years. We went to the aquarium and the Hockey Hall of Fame, but most importantly we ate a lot.
My favourite meal of the weekend was brunch at Cluny Bistro in the Distillery District. We started the meal off with pastries from Cluny’s own boulangerie – a chocolate-almond croissant, a cranberry scone and their flaky brioche – then had lobster poutine and their French toast which came topped with a massive cloud of Chantilly cream. I was actually in heaven. We sat on their patio, and met a pretty Samoyed. And I had some cotton candy to go.
