It was Pi Day a couple weeks ago, and being miles and miles away from home and Savary Island Pie Company, I decided to bake my own. And I changed it up too – instead of the usual apple and/or lemon-ricotta we usually celebrate with, I made a key lime pie for the very first time. Wasn’t bad for a first try.

Pie from Savary Island Pie Company isn’t all I’m missing – I’m missing a little girl who loves pie even more than I do (especially when it’s a la mode).
