Hummingbird, Butterscotch, and Chocolate

Variety is a really great thing. It’s a good principle to live by, especially when it comes to food. Tapas, for example, are my favourite because variety is encouraged: gambas, papas bravas, Manchego + anchovies, octopus, etc.

Variety found its way into a recent banana bread craving. I used this banana cupcake recipe, before splitting it up three ways to add pineapple (later topped with a cream cheese frosting for a hummingbird-esque flavour), butterscotch chips, and finely chopped semi-sweet chocolate.
