Long mid-morning walks are my favourite way to end off a weekend. They give me a chance to collect my thoughts, and move into the right state of mind to deal with inevitable Monday. The fact that we have sprung forward, as per daylight savings won’t make getting up tomorrow morning any easier.
Stella and I have just gotten home from our Sunday walk, and she’s now fast asleep on her little heated bed. And me? Well I’m enjoying a little tub of chocolate malt ice cream. It has the be one of the richest, smoothest ice creams I’ve had – there is very little air incorporated – and the sprinkling of candy-coated fennel seeds is the perfect accompaniment.
