For a week that ended at midnight last night, I cut sugar out of my diet. And because I am a dessert person through and through, it was torture. I skipped the coconut cake at dinner at Whole Foods and I skipped milk & cookies at Tacofino. I left the farmers market without a single canelé and gave my brother my fortune cookie. I didn’t have a sugar bun at Giovane and only had the torta half of my usual Sal y Limon torta-and-churros combo.
Today, I got a Terra Breads brownie – with white and dark chocolate chunks.
