On Saturday, two of my favourite girls and I headed over to Detroit to shop and have dinner at The Cheesecake Factory. The former went exactly as planned, and we ended up with some amazing things like a Frenchie sweater from J. Crew, matching pinky rings, and among other things, Essie nail polish by the dozen.
Shopping was great, but getting ourselves to The Cheesecake Factory was a bigger ordeal than we’d expected – when we made it to Novi, it took us awhile to realize we were driving around the wrong plaza. And when we finally got to the restaurant, there was a two and a half hour wait for a table, and a forty minute wait just to get cheesecake from the bakery. We decided to try an Italian place called Carrabba’s instead, and it ended up being wonderful. Everything we had tasted amazing, from the antipasti platter to the vodka sauce, but there was something about the warm bread and oil that was just so yummy and comforting.
I had the best time. From beginning to end, it was seriously one of the greatest days I’ve had in a long time.
