I think the first ice cream sandwich I ever had was the classic Klondike Bar – vanilla ice cream sandwiched between chocolate cookies. Then it was one of those frozen-solid chocolate chip cookie ones at Disneyland.
I didn’t make it to the Trout Lake Farmers Market for an Earnest Ice Cream sandwich yesterday, but I did make it over to Beta5 Chocolates for one of theirs: strawberry & elderflower ice cream – pale pink and yellow swirled beautifully, and sandwiched between two thin, buttery cookies.
