Today is my mother’s birthday, and it makes me so sad that I’m not celebrating with her in Vancouver – with dim sum and lemon cupcakes. When I talked to her earlier today, she wasted no time telling me (in more than sufficient detail) about the liu sha bao she’d just had. They are the best thing about dim sum and I die for them.
