Nothing turns my mood around quicker than a baby Frenchie and a stop at Beaucoup Bakery. Puppies are my favourite, but there’s just something about baby French Bulldogs – their velvety foreheads, oversized bat ears, and soft, smooshy faces – that I just die for. After our walk at Kits Beach, Stella and I went to Barking Babies where we met (and fell in love with) a little fawn Frenchie named Winston.

Then we went to Beaucoup, where the marble counters are always shiny and covered with my favourite things – kouign amann sprinkled with Maldon sea salt, warm Bostok, and hazelnut financiers – and where the fridge is always stocked with cold-pressed juice from The Juice Box.
