One of my favourite places for all things baked and brunch is the Savary Island Pie Co. in West Vancouver. It’s convenient too, only a few minutes from Ambleside beach where Stella likes to play. A fantastic apple pie (an incredibly flaky crust filled with slightly tart apples) isn’t all they do: perfect tea cakes (raspberry is my favourite), scones in a number of sweet and savoury flavours, granola and granola bars (this is the only place I get granola from). Bread is also something they are great at, particularly Italian which is light and oozing with olive oil. Also, you must try the blueberry omelette: it sounds odd, but the blueberries and grana padano are a perfect sweet and salty pairing.  It’s been awhile since I’ve had it, so it might be time for a brunch date with Stella and my mother.
