This past Saturday saw a little bit of a sweets and junk food overload. We had a pet store grand opening to attend (which involved a giant cake), but before that my family and I had a big pho lunch, and sweets from Chez Cristophe for dessert: strawberry-pistachio tart, mille-feuille, and tiramisu. The mille-feuille was my favourite, hands down: it had the requisite crisp, buttery puff pastry layers, and in this case, a rich chocolate filling and was topped with the perfect Chantilly.
