Yesterday morning, Stella and I took a walk at the Camosun Bog, which is part of Pacific Spirit Park. The bog is a protected area with lots of plant and animal species, including a lot of sphagnum moss. We started at the entrance at 19^th & Camosun which Stella didn’t particularly like because she had to stay on the boardwalk. She was much happier when we got onto the Camosun Trail. It’s always so quiet on that side of the park so it’s sometimes a little eerie, but there were actually quite a few joggers today, and I appreciated the canopy of trees that shielded us from the unexpected rain.

Afterward we warmed up with a spicy shawarma platter for lunch (quail for Stella), and baba au rhum for dessert. I do not like baba au rhum, so thankfully there were Beta5 vanilla cream puffs as a back-up dessert. Stella was ready for bed soon after.
